JUICE FEAST Days 23& 24

Sunday, January 20, 2008 - Day 24

This is me catching a free ride in St. Mary's over New Years (probably Day 3 of the Juice Feast which was 3 weeks ago!)
Aaah :) I am realizing that weekends can be a bit more mentally challenging to me than the work week. I have been craving more social activity-something besides going out for dinner. We went to the new movie theater last week to an okay movie, but it felt good just to mix things up a bit. It's funny, but I woke up Saturday morning feeling a little insecure about being too thin. I have felt sensitive to others saying-wow! you're skinny! I think it is intended as a compliment, but the word skinny sounds excessive to me. At times, I am still adjusting to my new body- I feel great, slim, sexy, strong and able to do all the work and physical activity as usual-just still adjusting mentally, I guess :) I am redefining what my optimum weight is. I am craving sunshine and it was really cold this weekend; we're expecting -13 tomorrow! Luckily, that never lasts long and my love and I are beginning to plan our honeymoon...perhaps April, definitely sunshine!
I am inspired by the idea of saturation...whatever your passion is: read about it , journal, experience, attend workshops, listen to lectures, read blogs, forums, etc. This has been very natural for me as I have a strong desire to keep learning more everyday and whenever I am feeling weak on my juice feast, I strengthen myself with inspiring information and wisdom! I have been drinking all my juice by 6 or 6:30 pm each evening so far and only having tea after that. It feels really good to give the body time to digest before sleeping. I feel like there are a lot of small long term changes taking place that make a big difference! This obviously isn't just about the daily juice feast, but ongoing lifestyle changes and commitments.

Matt Monarch just started a blog called Raw Success. When subbing in for his fiance's (Angela Stokes) blog, he realized that sharing what he was eating each day really helped inspire him even further to maintain the highest integrity. I find it a bit tedious to document my daily intake, when I so easily could not, but journaling and sharing this blog publicly has truly helped inspire me on this journey and strengthen my commitment. Special thanks to fellow feasters who have added me to your blog rolls and for sharing your experience! And to everyone out there, Thank you! YOU INSPIRE ME!!
