JUICE FEAST Day 33,34 &35 Powder!!

Thursday, January 31, 2008 - Day 35

We have been getting so much SNOW! 56" in the past 5 days! I was able to go snowboarding the past 2 days and it was awesome-tons of powder! Due to a communication breakdown with my hubby, the camera got left in the car, so no "Juice Feasting snowboard" shots today, but here is one I had taken from the top of Big Mountain, looking at the mountain range in Glacier Park. When we are blessed with clear enough skies to see this far, it is magnificent! Some days, we experience inversions, which means that by the time you reach the top of the mountain, you are above the clouds of the valley. It really must be what Heaven looks like...gorgeous snow-capped, sun-kissed mountain peaks reaching out of an ocean of clouds! It's breathtaking! Yesterday, I snowboarded all morning, then worked all afternoon-that's what happens when you work in a resort town- a day on the hill isn't always vacation! It's actually a wonderful balance because I truly enjoy my work as a massage therapist and the juice feast is really sustaining me through all this activity. Although, today I just lasted 2 hours in the deep, yummy powder before I was beat. My knee was feeling it a bit from yesterday and I have been getting up at 6 am every morning to get my juices and smoothies made for the day. Alas, I had a ripe avocado and made a green soup that I liked today. I'm glad because I had a strong appetite after so much physical activity. You'll see how much I consumed today...
  • 32 oz lemon, cayenne water w/ 1 tsp Sulphuzyme
  • 2 qt celery, kale, cuke, apple, chard, radish, sprout, ginger
  • 2 qt green smoothie (frozen strawberries and blueberries, banana, lacinato kale, Vitamineral Greens and Earth (in separate smoothies, they create yin and yang!), spirulina, chlorella, bee pollen, flax oil, wolfberries, dulse and water)
  • 1 qt tomato, kale, avocado, sweet orange pepper, basil, jalapeno, garlic, kelp, himalayan crystal salt
  • 10 oz grapefruit, mineola
  • zeolites, 3 drops x2, digestive enzymes 2 caps x3, 1 cup breakstone tea, 1 cup sleepytime tea
  • snowboarding! 2 caps VitalzymX, 2 caps Intestinal Movement Formula, weight: 122 lbs
FYI:All of the produce I eat is organic, with just a few exceptions (occasionally bananas and avocados). My health and energy is great, but I have to say I have had alot of gas lately. Last week was the 1st week I haven't had a colonic and I haven't been doing enemas lately because I'm still having great bowels movements 2-3 times a day, so I'm going to try to get in for a colonic in the next few days and keep my awareness on alert for what might be causing it-kind of dampers the sexy factor! Also, I recently heard that consuming too much fructo-oligo-saccharides (FOS) can cause lots of gas. The Sulphurzyme I have been taking has MSM, FOS, Ningxia wolfberry powder and stevia. The recommended dose is 1/2 tsp, but since I haven't gotten any plain MSM (in which the therapeutic dose is 1 Tbsp 1-3 x/day), I was 1st taking 1 Tbsp of the Sulphurzyme, but then just 1 tsp for the past week or two. I will try lowering my dose of that and get an additional MSM supplement.
Wednesday, January 30 - Day 34
  • 32 oz lemon, cayenne water w/ 1 tsp Sulphurzyme
  • 2 qt celery, kale, chard, cuke, apple, sprout, radish greens, ginger
  • 10 grapefruit, mineola, garlic, ginger
  • 2 qt & 12 oz green smoothie (frozen strawberries, pears, plums and huckleberries, banana, orange, kale, Vitamineral Greens, chlorella, spirulina, bee pollen, flax oil, wolfberries, dulse and water)
  • zeolites 3 drops x1, digestive enzymes 2 caps x2, 2 caps Intestinal Movement Formula
  • snowboarding, 1 cup breakstone tea, 2 cups rooibos, mint, yarrow tea, 1 cap systemic enzyme
  • 3 caps VitalzymX
Tuesday, January 29, 2008 - Day 33
  • 32 oz lemon, cayenne water w/ 1tsp Sulphurzyme
  • 2 qt celery, cuke, apple, chard, romaine, sprout, ginger
  • 9 oz grapefruit, mineola
  • 2 qt green smoothie (frozen strawberries, pears, plums and huckleberries, banana, orange, kale, Vitamineral Greens and Earth (in separate smoothies), bee pollen, flax oil, spirulina, chlorella, wolfberries, dulse and water)
  • 80 minutes cross country skiing, zeolites 3 drops x2, 1 cup breakstone tea
  • digestive enzymes 2 caps x2, 1 systemic enzyme, 2 cups rooibos, mint, yarrow tea

My love and I are about to snuggle in for the night with a movie and he's making popcorn right now-damn, it smells good! Luckily, my yummy tea tastes good too! Building new habits...
Sweet dreams! Kelly

JUICE FEAST Days 31 &32 Meditative State

Monday, January 28, 2008 - Day 32

When I dare to be powerful, to use my strength in the service of my vision, then it becomes less and less important whether I am afraid. Andre Loche
This is a photo from our deck today with the fenced in garden and hoophouse greenhouse in the back ground. It snowed 18" in the past day and schools were closed. It is fun to know that Juice Feasting is feasible in the darkest, coldest months of the year.
My sweet friend that I was so grateful to share meals with while at the Tree of Life Rejuvenation Center reminded me to share the transformational process this has been. I have been sharing it orally, but perhaps not writing so much, but it indeed has been quite transformational! One of my favorite benefits from the Juice Feast thus far has been the beautiful meditative state I have felt while moving through the daily actions of life. When mental struggles come up or old habits and smells arouse my senses, I feel like I am observing the processes within rather than being fully immersed in the entanglement. Yoga and meditation feels truly immersed as a life practice, rather than a separate activity "on the mat". This is something I have understood intellectually for a long time, but isn't always so much of my actual experience. On the website juicefeasting.com, David Rainoshek says Yoga and Juice Feasting are soul mates and I believe he's right!
Favorite cravings such as popcorn and tortilla chips stimulate my desires, but not real hunger and it feels good to be juice feasting for such a length of time to be able to see what food addictions are the strongest in me and further strengthen my intention of what I want to bring into my body after the feast. Since I am in the modified Juice Feast right now, I really feel quite close to how I want to eat when I am done. David Rainoshek will soon publish a great book called Four Means to Get Your Greens. This is a yummy way to continue to consume 1-2 lbs of green leafy vegetables every day via green juice, green smoothies, blended green soup and salads. I appreciate how easy it is to digest the blended foods. I am looking forward to returning to being able to dine out with my honey, which we mostly go to the sushi restaurant where I can get a green salad with sprouts and avocado, seaweed salad and a vegimaki roll with no rice. It will also be nice to eat my fruit instead of juicing it. There's a saying...eat your fruit, juice your veggies.
I also feel a stronger sense of confidence in following my highest path, no matter if others think it's crazy or not. Mostly, I have been very blessed with support from my loved ones and friends. With others, it is not such a popular concept, too extreme, too little protein, worried about me getting too thin, etc. My intuition feels very clear and the path which I am destined to walk upon is very illuminated, which makes it much easier to stay on course with my highest intentions.

I recognized the other day, that the lovely snow walk I take with my dogs on the state land near our home forms a beautiful infinity symbol...out the long driveway, around the meadow, through the meadow and back down another trail. Awareness is alive!
  • 32 oz lemon, cayenne water w/ 1 tsp Sulphurzyme
  • 2 qt celery, cuke, romaine, apple, spinach, sprout, ginger
  • 8 oz grapefruit, mineola
  • 2 qt green smoothie (frozen strawberries, huckleberries, pears and plums, banana, wolfberries, chard, Vitamineral Greens and Earth (in separate smoothies), spirulina, chlorella, flax oil, bee pollen, dulse and water)
  • zeolites 3 drops x3, digestive enzymes 2 caps x2, systemic enzymes 1 cap x2
  • 80 minute snow walk, weight: 122
Sunday January 27, 2008 - Day 31
  • 32 oz lemon, cayenne water w/ 1 tsp Sulphurzyme
  • 2 qt celery, cuke, chard, apple, romaine, cilantro, sprout, ginger
  • 2 qt green smoothie (frozen strawberries, huckleberries and pears, banana, spinach, Vitamineral Greens and Earth (in separate smoothies), spirulina, chlorella, bee pollen, flax oil, wolfberries, dulse and water)

JUICE FEAST Days 29 & 30!

Saturday, January 26, 2008 - Day 30!

The universe operates through dynamic exchange...giving and receiving are different aspects of the flow of energy in the universe. And in our willingness to give that which we seek, we keep the abundance of the universe circulating in our lives. Deepak Chopra, The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success

This photo is from our fall harvest...summer squash from the greenhouse, apples from the tree and mint from the garden drying in the back ground. Abundance, just like the Juice Feast!
Today was a very exciting day, as I was looking forward to a delicious green smoothie and I was not disappointed! I made a little video clip to talk about my Day 30 and even give you a peek outside our snowy window, but alas, it seems to be stuck in a never-never land of uploading-I'll see what I can figure out in the future. :) Somewhere around noon (after my morning lemon water and green juice, I filled up my Blentec with frozen strawberries from our garden, wild huckleberries, frozen pears from my friend's tree, a small banana, flax oil, Vitamineral Greens, spirulina, chlorella, kelp, dulse, bee pollen, fresh spinach, Ningxia wolfberries and water. Voila! Holy nutrient-dense deliciousness! This is really a tasty way to get all those greens and superfoods in. So far in the Juice Feast, I have been stirring up the green superfoods (Vitamineral Greens, spirulina, chlorella and kelp) into a paste, then adding some fresh juice and water to drink it in a 6 oz shot. I didn't enjoy the taste and didn't want to contaminate a whole yummy juice by blending them in, so I chugged them! Recently, I have started to crave more of these goodies and put heaping spoonfuls in my smoothie. Their nutrition and protein really sustain my energy and satisfy my appetite. I am beginning to see why Courtney Pool has been on a spirulina craze!

Later in the day, I made a green soup in the blender with 1/2 carrot, 2 stalks celery, 1/2 cucumber, chard, garlic, ginger and dulse. Yuck! It tasted horrible to me! I sat down and really tried to drink it, but I just couldn't do it, which seemed strange because I have been drinking all of these foods in the juice form for the past 29 days! I reblended a small amount with 1/2 apple which helped, but I still wasn't able to drink much. The dogs weren't down either, so it got composted :( I'll keep trying to find a palatable green soup for me!

Just a note on the flax oil...I got this because the health food store has been out of hemp oil. Flax oil is a great source of omega fatty acids like hemp oil, but for the long term, if you focus on flax for this intake, there will be an imbalance with too much of the omega 3 fatty acids compared to the omega 6. So, this is a temporary substitution.

  • 32 oz lemon, cayenne water w/ 1 tsp Sulphurzyme
  • 1.5 qt celery, cuke, chard, apple, sprout, ginger
  • 1 qt green smoothie
  • 6 oz green soup :(
  • 14 oz grapefruit, mineola
  • 3 drops x3 zeolites, 1 systemic enzyme, 2 x2 digestive enzymes, 1 Tbsp coconut oil
  • 4 cups rooibos, mint yarrow tea, 2 caps Intestinal Movement Formula, skin brush
Friday, January 25, 2008 - Day 29

  • 32 oz lemon, cayenne water w/ 1 tsp Sulphurzyme
  • 2 qt & 17 oz celery, cuke, chard, apple, sprout, ginger
  • 1 Tbsp each...Vitamineral Greens x2, bee pollen, coconut oil, flax oil
  • 1 tsp each...chlorella, spirulina
  • 1 systemic enzyme, 3 drops x3 zeolites

JUICE FEAST Days 27 & 28

Thursday January, 24, 2008 - Day 28

Yippee! I am feeling so vibrant with energy and very proud of myself for committing to the Juice Feast. 30 days feels like quite an accomplishment (although I'm not there just yet) and the next 30 days will be a modified Juice Feast, still drinking the same amount of juices while adding a green smoothie and blended green soup daily. It is best to start with a green juice, then have a green smoothie mid-morning, a green soup at mid-day and then a juice in the early evening. Therefore, this will not enhance my social eating life (going out for dinner, even if it is a salad) and I think that is good for me right now. The green smoothie will be frozen berries and other fruit, superfoods like bee pollen, Ningxia wolfberries, Vitamineral Greens, spirulina, chlorella, sea veggies and fresh green leafy vegetables. The green soup is basically a salad in a blender. We are keeping my fat intake low to maintain a cleansing physiology, so I can start with half an avocado and work up to a whole and use 1 Tbsp hemp oil (no nuts, seeds or olives). As my weight is currently at 121 lbs, David Rainoshek has recommended I begin my modified Juice Feast today or tomorrow, but since I am feeling well, I am going to hold out one extra day since day 30 feels like a clean transition.

I am usually a little hesitant to don my bikini in the midst of white January, but feel more trim and strong than perhaps ever! I may be a bit under my ideal weight at the moment, but feel my ideal weight may be 125 lbs? 130? You can see the abundance of pink lady apples and mineolas behind me and a little bling in the corner of my mouth from my gold crown. One of the other intentions for this Juice Feast that I forgot to state in an earlier post is to cleanse mercury and other toxic metals from my body. I had recently completed removing all the mercury from my fillings by the local conscious dentist, Dr. Pamela Lily, and that feels good!

In November (at the beginning of my rawvolution!), I wrote down some goals while reading David Wolfe's Sunfood diet Success System. Here they are:

  • to speak Spanish fluently (got some work to do there!)
  • to experience 100% raw
  • to communicate clearly, openly and consciously
  • laugh everyday!
  • to reach and maintain absolutely optimal physical health and fitness
  • to live a life of vibrant energy and joy while remaining grounded
  • to speak and live my highest TRUTH
  • to speak with comfort and confidence in front of others
I remember being surprised at the fear I felt creep up as I began to write my goals. I could sense that the act of writing them down was the beginning of manifesting! I journaled..."I am scared as I write this-what if this changes everything? I will substitute that thought with EXCITEMENT!
What if this changes EVERYTHING?!"

JUICE FEAST Day 25 & 26 - Expansion!

Tuesday, January 22, 2008 - Day 26

I got that sunshine I asked for and awoke to a thermometer that read -22!! A good reminder that it is important to include details when declaring desires and stating intentions! There is a very special crisp, beauty at very cold temperatures and I am in awe of the blue sky against freshly dusted mountains, the peaks of Glacier Park rising above the rest. I do love living here!

I am feeling blessed with the light, yet high vibration of expansion and passion! The energy work in my practice feels beautifully elevated and yoga is very deep and clear. Yum!

My hubby and I just got a new, used car (with way better gas mileage than before!) so I spent an hour waiting in the lobby of the tire shop while getting my snow tires put on. If being surrounded by the off-gassing of new tires wasn't enough, the very nice woman cut open one of those blob bags of gnarly oil, flavorings and popcorn kernels to make a fresh batch. The smell of that heating oil was then enhanced by ammonia spray as she cleaned the counters around me. Not so yum.

JUICE FEAST Days 23& 24

Sunday, January 20, 2008 - Day 24

This is me catching a free ride in St. Mary's over New Years (probably Day 3 of the Juice Feast which was 3 weeks ago!)
Aaah :) I am realizing that weekends can be a bit more mentally challenging to me than the work week. I have been craving more social activity-something besides going out for dinner. We went to the new movie theater last week to an okay movie, but it felt good just to mix things up a bit. It's funny, but I woke up Saturday morning feeling a little insecure about being too thin. I have felt sensitive to others saying-wow! you're skinny! I think it is intended as a compliment, but the word skinny sounds excessive to me. At times, I am still adjusting to my new body- I feel great, slim, sexy, strong and able to do all the work and physical activity as usual-just still adjusting mentally, I guess :) I am redefining what my optimum weight is. I am craving sunshine and it was really cold this weekend; we're expecting -13 tomorrow! Luckily, that never lasts long and my love and I are beginning to plan our honeymoon...perhaps April, definitely sunshine!
I am inspired by the idea of saturation...whatever your passion is: read about it , journal, experience, attend workshops, listen to lectures, read blogs, forums, etc. This has been very natural for me as I have a strong desire to keep learning more everyday and whenever I am feeling weak on my juice feast, I strengthen myself with inspiring information and wisdom! I have been drinking all my juice by 6 or 6:30 pm each evening so far and only having tea after that. It feels really good to give the body time to digest before sleeping. I feel like there are a lot of small long term changes taking place that make a big difference! This obviously isn't just about the daily juice feast, but ongoing lifestyle changes and commitments.

Matt Monarch just started a blog called Raw Success. When subbing in for his fiance's (Angela Stokes) blog, he realized that sharing what he was eating each day really helped inspire him even further to maintain the highest integrity. I find it a bit tedious to document my daily intake, when I so easily could not, but journaling and sharing this blog publicly has truly helped inspire me on this journey and strengthen my commitment. Special thanks to fellow feasters who have added me to your blog rolls and for sharing your experience! And to everyone out there, Thank you! YOU INSPIRE ME!!

JUICE FEAST Day 21 & 22

Friday, January 18, 2008 - Day 22

Here's one to marinate...

HEALTH NEWS OF THE WEEK:WHAT HAPPENS WITHIN THE FIRST HOUR OF DRINKING A COLA?
-10 minutes: 10 teaspoons of sugar hit your system, which is 100 percent of your recommended daily intake. You'd normally vomit from such an intake, but the phosphoric acid cuts the flavor.
-20 minutes: Your blood sugar skyrockets. Your liver attempts to maximize insulin production in order to turn high levels of sugar into fat.
-40 minutes: As your body finishes absorbing the caffeine, your pupils dilate, your blood pressure rises, and your liver pumps more sugar into the bloodstream.
-45 minutes: Your body increases dopamine production, tricking you into feeling pleasure and adding to the addictiveness of the beverage.
-60 minutes: The sugar crash begins.

JUICE FEAST Day 20

Wednesday, January 16, 2008 - Day 20!!

Work with the hands is the apprenticeship of honesty. May the work of your hands be a sign of gratitude and reverence to the human condition. Mahatma Ghandi

This is a photo from our abundant greenhouse last year (Thanks Bud and Diane for the amazing wedding gift!). Our neighbors put their house on the market and their realtor told them (referring to their greenhouse) -you've got to get rid of that ugly thing! It's amazing that a structure that can you can grow your own food in could possibly devalue your home. Luckily, we were gifted with the greenhouse and it was a FUN 1st year...squash, corn, tomatoes, tomatillos, cucumbers, basil!! Today I brought up the last fall harvest basket from our garden. I was disappointed there were no more carrots, but the potatoes are gorgeous-all different colors, shapes and sizes-definitely homegrown! Although I enjoy the break for a little while, I also can't wait to be digging in the soil again and gathering veggies from the garden rather than the health food store (but it's a great winter alternative, thank goodness!). I've been meaning to plant some chard and cilantro seeds to see if they would grow well in pots in the winter, so I'll keep you updated! I do grow my own sprouts in a Sproutmaster tray. It works awesome and makes abundant amounts of sprouts very affordable (Thanks Shonna for the thoughtful birthday present last year!).

  • 2 qt celery, chard, apple, sprout, lemon
  • 16 oz pineapple, romaine

  • 18 oz grapefruit

  • 1 Tbsp each...bee pollen, hemp oil, coconut oil, Vitamineral Green

JUICE FEAST Day 18 &19!

Tuesday, January 15, 2008 - Day 19

Plants store light through the process of photosynthesis. During the process of assimilation, this light is released from the plant into our own systems. According to Rudolf Steiner, if one is prepared, an equal and opposite inner light is activated to match this. By this process, one increases the strength of the inner spiritual light, which is the original
sustaining energy that keeps us alive.

Gabriel Cousens

Some people have been asking how long my juice feasting journey is going to be - good question! My utmost intention is for my highest good. With that in mind, I was looking to experience a 60-92 day juice feast. Unless I find myself spiritually moved to continue, I believe this journey will be 60 days. David Rain (creator of http://www.juicefeasting.com/) is coaching me on my journey and also training me as a consultant to assist others with their juice feasts. His wisdom and support have been very valuable to this do-it-yourself kind of gal! He suggests I drink another quart of green juice daily, but that just has not been happening. At the beginning of this feast, it felt great and was easy for me to drink 4 quarts a day, but for some time now, my desire has been 3 quarts. If my weight gets down to 120 by day 30, then I will move into a modified juice feast for the last 30 days (60 days total). I feel GREAT and am enjoying the beautiful simplicity of absorbing so much pure sun energy into my body! Taking a break from solid foods has gifted me with a dynamic perspective, realizing how deeply we deserve these nutrient-dense gifts from the earth. There is so little waste when eating whole foods. Although we have been unable to recycle the waxed cardboard, the other boxes get taken to Whitefish Pottery to be reused and the deer are eating our compost as fast as we dump the giant buckets next to our snow filled garden. Time for some yummy sleep! Blessings, Kelly

JUICE FEAST Day 17

Sunday, January 13, 2008 - Day 17

Angels fly because they take themselves lightly.

There are a couple more angels in our community today, as 2 skiers passed away in an avalanche yesterday. After a slow Sunday morning, my husband left to go hiking right where this avalanche occurred, but thank goodness it was closed off already. This area is out of bounds from the resort, but is frequented daily. My deepest prayers to the families whose loved ones have passed on and gratitude that it is in my husband's destiny to be in his body longer.

I am feeling more grounded about the weight I have lost. My body transformed so quickly, that my mind just needed a little time to catch up. My current weight is:126 and I feel like that is starting to stabilize. My body feels both slim and strong. My hair and skin feels great! I do have some blemishes arising now, which I have noticed since I started adding pineapple to my juices. This makes sense, as it is a liver cleanser.

Food is a love note from God. It says I love you and shall take care of you and sustain you with offerings of my earth. If we take time to read the love letter, by chewing carefully and feeling the messages that are stored in food by the sun, earth, wind, water, and even by those who
have grown, harvested and prepared the food, its assimilation takes on a whole new meaning. This is a specific way of receiving God's grace, a holy sacrament to be experienced slowly, carefully and consciously. Gabriel Cousens

I am ever grateful for the beautiful food that I am so fortunate to bring into my body each day. Being back in a state of gratitude allows me to see my selfishness of self loathing and mental struggle of the recent days past, but alas I am human and always learning!

  • 32 oz lemon, cayenne water
  • 2 qt and 18 oz celery, cuke, chard, romaine, apple, carrot, sprout mix, ginger
  • 16 oz pineapple
  • 1 Tbsp each...bee pollen, hemp oil, coconut oil, Vitamineral Greens, Intestinal Drawing Formula
  • 1/4 tsp kelp, 1 tsp chlorella, 1 tsp spirulina, 90 minutes yoga
  • 2 cups rooibos, mint, yarrow tea
Also, I didn't get a chance to write about snowboarding on Friday! We had so much fun! There is a great little ski resort a few hours away from here that still has so much soul...just a slow 2 seat chair lift and lots of snow. It is only open Friday, Saturday and Sunday, so if the snow has been accumulating all week, Friday can be a big powder day! You buy your lift tickets at the snack bar and although none of the food is very healthy, it's refreshing to see that you can still buy a grilled cheese sandwich for $2.25! Deepest Blessings, Kelly

JUICE FEAST Days 13,14,15

January 11, 2008 - Day 15

There are two mistakes one can make along the road to
truth-not going all the way and not starting. Buddha

The past few days have been quite a journey into the power of the mind. It is amusing to watch how one moment I feel unlimited willpower, strength and positivity about what I'm doing and the next moment I'm scared I'm getting too thin, wondering why I'm doing this and how much longer I actually should. I feel a desire to be "normal" and at least eat a salad when others are having a meal. While seeking guidance on the weight loss, I try not to entertain my mind so much, but observe it along the way. What a phenomena! My mother-in-law was juice feasting as well-she started just two days after me. She journeyed an amazing 11 days and I was surprised how her breaking the feast affected me mentally. Did I mention I was also on my moon cycle? Also, I have been buying most of my produce by the case from the local health food store and the produce manager just informed me that due to high winds and below average temperatures in California, the price of the produce I have been buying is going to double. So, while a previous case of celery was $33, today it was $69! But, health is true wealth so, I continued forth with my days, enduring a bit of mental agony, awaiting inspiration to fill my spirit again. Last night, I fell asleep firmly grasping the hand of my husband, feeling that deep love we share with one another. That gratitude is the light of inspiration that has rejuvenated me and my head is now out of the tunnel...aaah! Love is the answer!

JUICE FEAST Day 11 - Chinese character for crisis:)

Monday, January 7th, 2008 - Day 11

Chinese character for crisis...No, I am not in a healing crisis! I am feeling great! While viewing a trailer for "Vanishing Bees" in a newsletter from the Organic Consumers Association, I found it very interesting when a man described that the Chinese character for crisis is made up of two separate characters (one is danger, the other is opportunity). That is a gift to remember! Click on this link to watch the trailer here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XL-A8Apn1_s Today was a busy work day, so nothing too exciting to report besides the fact that I can work a very full, busy day and still have lots of clear energy! And, my Health Force Nutritionals order arrived-yahoo!

Yesterday, I pulled a Sacred Path card...Storyteller..."You are now growing and encompassing many new ideas. See which area of expansion needs your attention and feed your personal Fire of Creation. Create more and enjoy the expansion, knowing you earned it. Note that the expansion will continue if you are willing to share how you achieved your success with others. Many lives are influenced by another's story. In the good fortune of your present situation you may be instrumental in encouraging others. In all cases, expansion occurs when people are allowed to grow at their own rate and with their own understanding. The wisdom of the Storyteller is a part of the art of remembering. Note that you are now remembering your personal Medicine and how to be your potential."

So, when something inside you tells you to create a blogspot and you say "what?!!", create a blogspot. :) :) Thank you so much to anyone who may be taking the time to read this!

  • 3 qt celery, cuke, chard, sprout mix, apple, carrot, cilantro, ginger, cayenne

JUICE FEASTING Day 10

Sunday January 6, 2008 - Day 10

32 oz lemon, cayenne water w/ Sulphurzyme
3 qt celery, chard, cuke, sprout mix, apple, carrot, ginger
14 oz grapefruit, garlic, ginger
1 systemic enzyme, 1/4 tsp kelp, 2 tsp NOW chlorella
1 Tbsp each...Green Magma, hemp oil, coconut oil, bee pollen
1 tsp psyllium, 1 tsp bentonite, skin brush
2 hours yoga, pranayama and meditation

Wow! I am savoring the state of spiritual bliss that I am experiencing, the state of bliss that we all are! We are fortunate enough to have Mas Vidal, a lovely yogi from LA here leading a workshop at Montana Bliss. So, with a wonderful guide, I spent the mid day with the base of a snowy tree as my drishti (focal point) while breathing, moving and being very still. The intention of my practice...being peace and allowing more space for that peace to be-dedicated to my brother-in-law's brother Clint who ended up passing this eve at the very young age of 28 with malignant melanoma. Death takes me to that place when I have climbed to the top of a mountain and am in awe of the great perspective...overwhelmed with deep gratitude.
Deepest blessings to all, Kelly

Best Day Ever and JUICE FEASTING Day 8 & 9

Saturday, January 5, 2008 - Day 9

One of the greatest gifts we can give to another is our strong belief in their potential. David Wolfe

Today was the best day ever! I arose at 6 am, so I had time to get things started without being in a rush. Then, the holy trinity...yoga, massage and hot springs!! yahoo! Yoga has been feeling amazing and with losing a decent amount of weight, I want to keep getting stronger. I will be fortunate throughout this Juice Feast to receive a lot of massage, since I'm a therapist myself-we all take good care of each other around here :) Soaking in the delicious hot springs feels like soaking in a giant healing bath of MSM-sulphur is in the air! Before bed, I tried the psyllium bentonite mix for the 1st time since my Health Force Nutritional goodies haven't arrived yet. I must not have mixed it well enough because I gagged when I hit some chunks of clay at the bottom of my chugging glass :( We'll see if I'm brave enough to try it again Sunday! I also wanted to mention that I am feeling very grounded. Often, when I have done a juice fast in the past, I get to that stage of euphoria where I feel so HIGH and feel actually quite out of my body. Right now, I have that delicious lightness, like my being is less condensed matter and more similar to the etheral universe, while still feeling extremely grounded in my body and the Earth. It is quite lovely!

32 oz lemon, cayenne water with 1 Tbsp Sulphurzyme
2 qt & 26 oz celery, cuke, chard, sprout mix, apple, carrot ginger
10 oz grapefruit
1 Tbsp each... Green Magma, bee pollen, coconut oil, hemp oil
1/4 tsp kelp, 1 systemic enzyme, 2 digestive enzymes, 90 minutes yoga, massage, enema,
1 tsp psyllium, 1 Tbsp bentonite clay
12 oz lemon, cayenne water

Friday, January 4th, 2008 - Day 8

32 oz lemon, cayenne water w/ 1 Tbsp Sulphurzyme
3 qt celery, cuke, chard, sprout mix, apple, carrot, ginger
16 oz grapefruit, ginger, garlic
1 Tbsp each... Green Magma, coconut oil, bee pollen, hemp oil
1/4 tsp kelp, 1 systemic enzyme, 2 digestive enzymes, enema, 1 hour cross country skiing
Warmest Blessings, Kelly p.s. I have the strongest belief in your highest potential!! xo

JUICE FEAST Day 7

January 3rd, 2008 - Day 7 and Intentions!

The actions you take or do not take each day shape your destiny. David Wolfe

32 oz lemon, cayenne water w/ 1 Tbsp Sulphurzyme
2.5 qt celery, cuke, chard, sprout mix, carrot apple, ginger
12 oz grapefruit
1 Tbsp of each...bee pollen, hemp oil, Green Magma, coconut oil
1/4 tsp kelp, 2 digestive enzymes, enema, 1 cascara sagrada, 1 systemic enzyme
90 minutes yoga

I made 4 full quarts of juice, but was busy today and just didn't feel like drinking it all. My complexion is really clear, energy is high, but grounded and I find myself quite a bit more flexible than usual! I weighed in at 132 today, which means I have lost 15 pounds since going mostly raw in mid-October 2007 and 8 pounds since the start of the Juice Feast. Feels great!
Intentions...I have stated these internally, but have not written them down, so I thought I would share them with you and take the time to write them down clearly for myself.
  • to cleanse my entire being to prepare for pregnancy (anytime in the next few years)
  • to clear clouds for spiritual clarity and vibrant intuition
  • follow path of highest good (all of the raw food and Juice Feasting info I have been reading was too overwhelmingly exciting and full of truth not to go for it!)
  • to help others acheive and maintain their optimum health and wellness
  • Also, I simply needed to listen to that clear, inner voice that said I should do this. I did not see the complete details of the purpose which is to unfold, but the path was brightly lit!

Ciao for now! Kelly

JUICE FEAST Day 6

January 2nd, 2008 Day 6

With the opening of the new year, all the closed portals of limitations will be thrown open and I shall move through them to vaster fields, where my worthwhile dreams of life will be fulfilled. Paramahansa Yogananda

12 oz water w/ 1 Tbsp Sulphurzyme (ran out of lemons!)
3 qt celery, cuke, chard, sprout mix, carrot, ginger
22 oz celery, cuke, chard, apple, carrot, ginger
12 oz grapefruit juice
1 Tbsp hemp oil, 1 Tbsp bee pollen, 1 Tbsp Green Magma, 1/4 tsp kelp, 1 tsp coconut oil
2 Lifegive digestive enzymes, colonic, skin brush, Epsom salt bath, 1 cascara sagrada

Woke up feeling great today, glad to be back home! Went for my 1st colonic during the feast and that went really well. Today when I made my grapefruit juice, I used 2 grapefruits, peeling one and leaving the skin on the other. Halfway through the juice, I got really lightheaded, dizzy and nauseous. I took a bath, but didn't feel better, so I took a nap with my kitty for 45 minutes. I felt better, but not great, but I decided to get up, get dressed and act like I felt okay. I felt completely normal within 10 minutes! It was strange to get hit so hard so fast, since I have felt great the entire time. I was very glad to be feeling better, as I needed to go to work. I have found that the citrus (oranges and grapefruit) come out of the Green Star really pulpy, so I used a Breville centrifugal juicer that my dad had given me and have added a screen for all of my juices. Today, I'm going to try hand juicing the grapefruit like I do lemon in the morning.
Happy day to all! Kelly

JUICE FEASTING Day1-5

Buenos dias! Today is January 2nd, when I planned on beginning my feast, but I am actually on Day 6! On Friday Dec 28th, I planned on a green smoothie for breakfast, but the banana was gone, so I opted for green juice. My cucumbers told me I better make alot of juice if they were going to make it, so the feast began!

December 28, 2007- DAY 1

32 oz lemon, cayenne water with 1 Tbsp Sulphurzyme (I hadn't bought plain MSM yet, so I used this Young Living product with MSM, FOS, Ningxia wolfberry powder and stevia)
3 quarts kale, celery, cucumber, cilantro, broccoli sprouts, carrot, pear
1 tsp bee pollen, 1 Tbsp Green Magma, 1 tsp coconut oil, 1/4 tsp kelp, 1 Tbsp hemp oil
Good Earth tea, 2 Lifegive digestive enzymes, enema

I felt very excited about beginning and the idea that i will have been juicing for a few days to welcome in the new year. Since I have not been drinking alcohol at all and have been eating mostly raw, I figured I was going to have to pack my own food for going to the cabin with my friends anyway, so why not a ton of produce and a juicer?! It was great to have juice in the fridge at work in between giving massages :)

December 29, 2007 DAY 2

11" of snow in the past 24 hours, so Michael (my husband) and I woke up early to skin and ski Big Mountain -life is good! I had made 4 qts of juice yesterday, but only drank 3, so I was happy to have one ready so we could head straight for the hill. I got a yummy fresh fruit juice from the Bean Hive Cafe on the way back...

24 oz lemon, cayenne water w/ 1 Tbsp Sulphurzyme
3.5 qt kale, celery, cuke, cilantro, carrot, broccoli sprouts, apple
16 oz orange,grapefruit, garlic, ginger
1 Tbsp hemp oil, 1 Tbsp bee pollen, 1 Tbsp coconut oil, 1 Tbsp Green Magma, 1/4 tsp kelp
1 cascara sagrada, enema

Pack up and head out for St Mary! Gnarly blizzard and we stop to push a man's car out of the snow near the Firebrand Bar. My friends are talking about traveling and I'm wondering why I decided to begin this feast before going to the cabin...

December 30, 2007 DAY 3

32 oz lemon, cayenne water w/ 1 Tbsp Sulphurzyme
2 qt kale, chard, broccoli sprouts, celery, cuke, sweet orange peppers, onion, garlic
1 qt chard, celery, cuke, apple, ginger
1 qt chard, celery, cuke, orange, ginger
32 oz lemon, cayenne water
1 Tbsp coconut oil, 1 Tbsp bee pollen, 1 Tbsp Green Magma, 1 tsp kelp
Good Earth tea, enema

So great to be out here! The guys all got up before sunrise to head out for ice fishing and I savored my delicious sleep! It is the 1st day I have gotten to prepare my juices at a leisurely pace. Then, out to the lake for ice skating-it was so windy, that when facing one direction, the wind took us without skating at all-too fast actually! We had to really pump it on the way back into the wind and it was nice to get warm and be outside. Back at the cabin, I am starting to mentally struggle with why I chose to juice feast right now, amidst all my friends, trying to fit an enema into the day when 13 people are sharing 2 bathrooms (one which has a curtain for a door!). But I stick with it, having fun playing dice and Cranium together by the fire. We feel lucky!

December 31, 2007 DAY 4

32 oz lemon, cayenne water w/ 1 Tbsp Sulphurzyme
2.5 qt chard, celery, cuke, sprout mix (radish, clover, fenugreek & alfalfa), carrot, ginger
1 qt chard, celery, cuke, apple, carrot, ginger
1 Tbsp hemp oil, 1 Tbsp coconut oil, 1 Tbsp bee pollen, 1 Tbsp Green Magma
1/4 tsp kelp, 1 cascara sagrada, 1 Lifegive systemic enzyme, Good Earth tea, enema

Everything was easier today! I released the mental struggle I was putting myself through and realized I was going to make it and love it along the way! Ice skating was awesome without the wind at mock 10 and the sun greeted us, shimmering all the snow crystals on the lake-wow! Sleep has been so deep and yummy. Natalie and I walked down the frozen river until she feel through to the water while the guys created a new sport...river sledding! Later, it is still 5 hours until midnight, so I retreat for a nap, feeling a bit separate from my partying friends, but arise when 2 more arrive and have a blast playing the name game and bringing in the new year with pieces of paper stuck to our foreheads. Two of the homies streak to the creek, their boots carrying them through the snow and I fall asleep giggling in 2008! Happy New Year!

January 1, 2008 DAY 5

32 oz lemon, cayenne water w/ 1 Tbsp Sulphurzyme
2 qt celery, kale, chard, cuke, mixed greens, carrot, ginger
16 oz grapefruit
1 qt celery, cuke, chard, carrot, orange, ginger
2 Tbsp Green Magma, 1 Tbsp bee pollen, 1 Tbsp coconut oil, 1 Tbsp hemp oil, skin brush
1/4 tsp kelp, 1 cascara sagrada, 1 systemic enzyme, 32 oz Good Earth tea, enema
16 oz rooibos, mint, yarrow tea

I only have enough produce to make 2 quarts of juice at the cabin and although we are leaving today, it makes me a bit nervous. I enjoy a breathtaking snow walk to St Mary Lake while the guys get in their last ice fishing journey. The 3 hour drive home is sunny and absolutely gorgeous! I am grateful to begin the new year feeling like a champ (mind, eyes and spirit feeling even clearer with each new day)! The grapefruit juice I make as soon as we get home tastes divine. I feel a little hungry this evening, but nothing too strong.

Blessings, Kelly:)
